Too busy to breathe

I have a really great blog post that I am excited to share with you. But, I am not giving it to you today.


Each week I share my #HappyShot with the intention of bringing more joy and peace into a most likely hectic day for you. This can sometimes be tough because I am not a guru, meditation expert, or psychologist. I am a rookie mom who has big dreams just like you.

While I am “not” a lot of things, I am a believer in “me time”. You and I both need time to recharge and refresh and that can be a challenge to find between work, kiddos, friends, laundry, and the ever elusive sleep.

So today, I ask your forgiveness.

Forgive me for not writing more because I want you to take the few minutes you would normally use to read my blog to just breathe.



Place one hand on your belly and one hand on your heart.

Inhale slowly through your nose.

Feel your belly fill like a balloon.

Exhale slowly through pursed lips.

Repeat 10 times.  

I hope this little #HappyShot brings both calm and happiness into your day (don’t worry, I won’t tell your espresso you are cheating on him).
